The PLASMA deodorization process works by energizing molecules and accelerating them with
a pulse generator. These molecules collide with the odor molecules, breaking them down into

process enables the filter life of the charcoal filter to be extended for up to five years under

An integrated sensor detects particles varying in size but is especially tuned for smoke
particles and pollen. The sensor uses an optical system with a light-emitting diode (LED)
through which the presence of these tiny airborne particles is picked up.
- An Odor Sensor Smells Odors! Another sensor even detects odors by a semiconductor
process. These smart sensors control the inverter-driven fan's speed inside PlasmaPure to
operate only as needed. Monitor lights on the control panel indicate the concentration
levels of these contaminants. The three monitors for POLLEN, MICRODUST, and
ODORS rise and fall on a scale, according to concentration levels. A light meter indicates
the concentration level of contaminants. A very light green color indicates a low level of
contaminants. As the concentration of contaminants increases, the light meter changes
from a light green to a darker green and then finally into an increasingly darker red color.
